Organised by the Euro-Med Youth Platform in collaboration with the Maltese National Agency, the Turkish National Agency, the Greek National Agency and SALTO EuroMed Resource Centre.
The title of the meeting originated from the name attributed to the Mediterranean Sea by the Islamic World; Our Middle Sea and the by Romans; Mare Nostrum. The title itself reflects a blend of culture, ideas and traditions, which depicts the ideal scenario of the overall purpose of "Our White Sea II".
Sustainable development is defined as a holistic approach of using resources in a way that meets present needs while safeguarding those of future generations. Networking between youth organisations needs to be constantly supported in order to retain contacts which are already established while working to create new ones. This year the meeting will tackle this issue and will delve deeper into the context of how Youth NGOs and Organisations can sustainably maintain their networking channels.
The Meeting shall provide youth workers/leaders who are already involved in networks with an opportunity to explore possibilities how activated networks can be supported.
Representatives from youth NGO's/Organisations who are already involved in networks from EU and Mediterranean partner countries.
The selected participants will be invited to send a short paper about their good practices before the meeting commences.
The methodology will provide participants the possibility to tackle the content with the support of experts and experienced people. This will also serve as a vehicle to facilitate the sharing of experiences between participants. The working programme will consist of:
