Appetiser - How to use the YiA programme for local youth workThe training seminar is aimed at bringing together people, who work with youngsters in different places of Europe and to introduce them to the possibility of working in an international setting.Aims and objectives This aim summarises the entire idea of the seminar - to give a feeling, what it means to work with young people in an international setting. Leaving all explanations and knowledge aside, it is about giving a space for the participants to explore the advantage of 'internationality' themselves. Appetiser is designed according to the following objectives:
Profile of the participants Appetiser is mainly addressed to inexperienced people, not only to inexperienced organisations, i.e. an organisation, which is already implementing international activities can send a representative, who does not have international experience. Thus important criteria for participation in this training course are:
On an annual basis, the SALTO Training and Co-operation RC co-ordinates and monitors several Appetiser training courses for youth workers from all over Europe. The training courses are hosted by the NAs and are implemented by a trainers pool consisting of 4 European trainers: Monika Kezaite, Eylem Certel, Sakis Krezios, and Yvor Broer. Below, one can find further information on the evaluation results of the previous Appetiser and more detailed information about the cource concept. During the current period, the Appetiser training courses listed below are planned to take place. The NAs will recruit and select the participants; please check the details when you click on the relevant course.
