SALTO EuroMed is looking for

Application deadline:

30.06.2024

Description

Context

The SALTO EuroMed Resource Centre, hosted by the Erasmus+ France Youth and Sport Agency (AEFJS), has been mandated by the European Commission to support and develop, with the National Agencies in Europe and the other SALTO Resource Centres, the participation of young people, youth structures and actors from the southern Mediterranean area in the European Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps programmes. SALTO EuroMed covers 10 countries, eight of which are currently active: Algeria, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Palestine and Tunisia.

The Erasmus+ programme and the European Solidarity Corps offer significant opportunities for personal development, intercultural learning and skills enhancement for young people in the Southern Mediterranean region. In this context, SALTO EuroMed is committed to strengthening the visibility and accessibility of the Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps programmes by setting up, in 2024 in Morocco.

The opening of the contact point will therefore have a dual role in enhancing visibility. On the one hand, organisations in the region will benefit from information sessions and workshops offered by these contact points, which will make European programmes more accessible and visible for them. On the other hand, it will enable SALTO EuroMed to gain a better understanding of local realities and any difficulties encountered by local organisations. This in-depth awareness of the on-site reality will enable SALTO EuroMed to better respond to the specific needs of local organisations. It will also lead to more accurate identification of local trainers for future training courses. By expanding the network of Southern Mediterranean trainers, SALTO EuroMed will be able to strengthen its range of training courses and activities, thus contributing to a more dynamic and relevant exchange of knowledge and capacity building in the region.
