Aims & objectives

Using the tools of Nature, Authentic Communication and hands we will learn together how to empower the young people we work with by developing their skills in enhanced communication, conflict resolution techniques, entrepreneurial thinking and active participation.

Training Objectives:
· To identify effective and creative methods to engage young people to be active in their lives and communities
· To explore and understand how theatre & outdoor based methods can be used as tools for youth empowerment
· To introduce effective communication techniques in order to create positive dialogue and authentic communication
· To develop competences to implement tools, non-formal and informal educational methods of conflict resolution
· To provide space for participants for discussion and sharing best practices and to develop their training skills and competences
· To improve knowledge about Erasmus+ Youth Programme as a tool for improving the quality and enhancing the international dimension of youth work through capacity building activities

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

The target group was youth workers, volunteers and leaders that work directly with young people from countries including Ukraine, Bosnia, France, Czech Republic, Hungary.The programme involves theoretical inputs and practical and creative workshops, discussions, group processes and individual work, theatre sessions and games. Part of the programme took place outdoors in nature.

The training team consisted of 3 trainers each from a different country, Ukraine, Czech Republic and France

Outcomes of the activity

The main aim of the training course was to develop the competences of youth workers to engage and empower young people to become responsible citizens through enhanced communication skills, conflict resolution techniques, entrepreneurial thinking and active participation in their lives, work and communities. As this was the main aim this was also the main outcome, youth workers went home and used what they had learned with their young people and communities, small workshops were held and some longer events. For partners, strong international partnerships were built and future projects designed.

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

The training team consisted of 3 full time trainers of which I was one. My main role was to look after the participants learning process including Youthpass and also the theatre sessions which included Theatre of the Oppressed games, Image theatre and Forum theatre

I worked on this training for 5 days days as a full time trainer also as support stuff.

I worked on this training for 8 days as a full time trainer.
