Training of Trainers for EVS

The training activity took place
in Plovdiv, Bulgaria

Aims & objectives

There was a specific need from Bulgarian NA as they were in process of building their pool of EVS trainers and they recognized similar need by other NA´s.
- to provide space of common understanding and implementing learning opportunities of EVS
- to increase knowledge, skills, abilities when delivering training courses
- to give opportunities for learning new methods
- to share pracitces
- to manage with conflict situtations within EVS projects

potential EVS trainiers with support of their NA´s
21 trainees from 12 countries

Training methods used & main activities

Following principles of non-formal education - active, participatory games, discussions, teamwork and group tasks.
Not only well known activities, space for innovation, ideas from participants
Mixture involving scintific materials as well as simulation, advenurous games, workshops...
Methods and techniques which would be of use to participants in theri own EVS trainings. For all activities we explained in which part of their trainings they could fit.

Outcomes of the activity

Generally expectations of participants were fullfiled at 90%, achievement of aim and objectives was scored at 89,4 % and if methods and techniques for the training were appropriate was scored at 92,9 %. So trainees were very satisfied. There is no website available, but final report is available at every sending NA and extended report at hosting Bulgarian NA.

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

One of two full time trainers.

I worked on this training for 6 (with prep and eval 12) days as a full time trainer.
