Aims & objectives

The aim of the training course was to provide the participants the basic knowledge and skills to lead youth groups. The training was mainly concentrated on experiental education (Erlebnispädagogik) and use of outdoor activities in youth work.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

The target group of the training course was young adults from Germany, Turkey and Ukraine.

Training methods used & main activities

Number of outdoor activities were used during the training course - low rope course, cooperative games, climbing, archery etc. In addition, discussions and role games were used to introduce the participants with the theoretical basics of group dynamics and experiental education.

Outcomes of the activity

The training course provided the basic theoretical knowledge and practical skills for the potential new trainers. The training is considered to be a success as several of the participants are already succesfully working with youth groups.

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

Leading the training activities as the co-trainer together with two other trainers.

I worked on this training for 6 days as a full time trainer.
