Aims & objectives

With our training course we aim to raise awareness about Human
rights in spheres of domestic violence, gender discrimination and children rights in the scope of
refugee crisis and changes in our society through making Human rights escape room, as well as
understanding how to use escape rooms as a learning tool in order to create similar projects on
Human rights back at local communities. Following objectives are set for the project: *Spread ideas
of human rights protection *Provide youth workers with tools and knowledge on how to organise
escape rooms, which will bring ideas of human rights protection to greater amount of people *Show
that dealing with human rights can be done in various ways through providing participants with ideas
and methods on non-standard approach to human rights education * To create working tools which
can be used in local communities * Start a network of youth workers in Europe who are ready to do
quest rooms on human rights by giving them an opportunity to practice this approach and creating a
good atmosphere for connection between participants *Bring understanding of nowadays problems
in human rights area through giving examples, ideas and theoretical knowledge during the project
*To raise awareness of such human rights topics as domestic violence, gender discrimination and
children rights. As in 2018 a lot of attention in EU will be paid to promoting diversity, intercultural and
inter-religious dialogue, common values of freedom, tolerance and respect of human rights we see
that our project will be appropriate and important for youngsters.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

youth workers, NGO activists working with youth and/or human rights issues and active
youngsters aged 18+ who already have some experience working directly with youngsters and
preferably working with human rights issues before. Each country will be represented by 4 people
from different regions of country.
Nationalities were involved in the activity POLAND, ROMANIA, MALTA, GREECE, LATVIA, GERMANY, ITALY

Training methods used & main activities

- Informal education methods and intercultural learning method (ice
braking, brainstorms, role games etc) at the beginning of the seminar and as a part of the evening programme; - Workshops and lectures on the
topics such as social inclusion, European сitizenship, project management, Erasmus+ Programme, etc.) - Panel discussions; - Presentations; -
Group work on the project development;

Outcomes of the activity

Outcomes of the activity was a specific and solid skills and competences, which will allow them to use received knowledge back at home. *Organisational skills crucial for creating and
implementing local projects on human rights back at home, especially escape/quest rooms
*Understanding of how an escape/quest room is made. *Teamwork and leadership skills
as participants will often work in groups and many training activities will be oriented on teamwork
*Self -assessment and self-reflection methods to better understand themselves *Project
management skills *Improvement of logical thinking and problem solving skills Knowledge: *Deeper
knowledge and understanding human rights issues, especially in such areas as domestic violence, gender discrimination and children rights *Information about human rights situation in different countries *Information about Erasmus+ possibilitites *Getting to know new tool: escape room *experience the non-formal education methods Attitudes: *Intercultural competences and better understanding of people from different backgrounds *More intention to educate young people in human rights area *Better understanding of domestic violence, gender discrimination and children rights in terms of refugees crisis in Europe Participants will also be able to develop skills that are important when working in teams; in an international groups; working under pressure; usage of nonformal learning methods; self-management; time management & their sense of initiative while being in a large group.

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

The training course i was deliver with my colleague from Poland. Together we lead all session of the Training course. We had the same task like, developing the session, facilitate the session, reflation and coaching of escape room making process.

I worked on this training for 7 days as a full time trainer.
