Aims & objectives

Participation of migrant women and young people in underserved communities, through sports.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

Dutch, Syrian, Angolan and youth with bicultural roots (mostly Dutch-Maroccan)

Training methods used & main activities

- Team up through sports in a visible location
- Life skills through sports, learning by doing
- Reflecting on life skills

Outcomes of the activity

We're still working on it. So far:
- 2 classed of migrant women doing swim classes
- set up for outdoor sporting class for elderly in underserved community
- 18 girls join a girls-only handball team in an underserved community were there are hardly any opportunities for teenage girls to play

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

- Writing plans, enthousiast donors, partners and participants
- Developing curricula and lessons
- Coach different groups.

I worked on this training for 14 (and still counting) days as a full time trainer.
