Aims & objectives

* Training young volunteers who contribute to the online magazine cafebabel.com. The training session delved into volunteer management, project planning and active citizenship. This was a revised version of the activity I facilitated in 2012 for the same organisation.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

Participants from various European countries who contribute to the online magazine cafebabel.com. Countries include France, Italy, Spain, Germany, Austria, Hungary, Sweden, UK, Greece and Slovakia. They also act as multipliers on the local level or run their local cafebabel writing groups.

Outcomes of the activity

Participants created local, national and international projects involving volunteers. They also worked on a strategy on how to recruit and involve new volunteers in their local Cafebabel branches.

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

I was facilitating the session mostly by myself but the content was developed in cooperation with the executive director and the president of Cafebabel. I was responsible for the diversity of the educational methods used in the activity.

I worked on this training for 3 days as a full time trainer.
