Aims & objectives

The main aim of the event was to raise awareness about the challenges democracy faces and to reflect on how young people can influnce positive changes in making democracy reality.

Activity explored the tools and mechanizms how young people can manage to participate in practicing democracy in their home countries and communities.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

The activity gathered together participants from more then 12 Council of Europe member states.

Training methods used & main activities

School of Democratic Driving was based on non-formal education principles and approaches. Training course used methods which encouraged cooperative learning, holistic learning and learner centered approaches. As well as role-plays and group building activities were used in a higher doze.

The main outcome of the training course was stregthened dialogue between young people coming from conflict areas like : Armenia and Azerbaija, Georgian and Russia, etc.

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

I was responsibe for facilitating specific sessions on youth participation during the whole duration of the training course.

I worked on this training for 5 days as a full time trainer.
