Training methods used & main activities

The TC went through the topic by using non formal and innovative methods (Reciprocal Maieutic Approach , Theatre of the Oppressed and artistic workshops, etc) aimed at deconstructing gender roles. This allowed participants to identify the gender-based multiple discrimination in society and acquire tools to overcome it, promoting active citizenship and participation of all. They will share best practices on the field, building strong EUROMED networks.

Outcomes of the activity

The project comes from the increasing need in EUROMED of ensuring youth participation through fostering gender equality in a broad sense, by spreading tools to be used in the youth work within EUROMED countries. It sets in the framework of the path within the current “Strategy for equality between women and men”( 2010 – 2015) - preparing the EU for 2020 goals - and takes into consideration also the inclusion of groups suffering sexual orientation or gender identity marginalisation, basis of a future effective gender-balanced EUROMED society.
