Aims & objectives

- to promote tools of reaching active citizenship and participation amongst young people in their own community
- to rise awareness of gender equality and gender based violence and ensure space for exchanging methodologies and approaches in working with youth under this topic
- to promote cooperation on European level and exchange methods and approaches in working under the topic of gender equality.
The project also had the aim to develop and foster international cooperation in working on gender equality and non violence, to share good practice and methodologies in order to create a picture of gender equality on European level and develop approaches on working with this issue.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

the training was facilitated by a team of 3 trainers, 2 from Sweden and 1 from Serbia.
The target group of the activity was youth workers and representative of local creative groups and cultural initiatives.

Training methods used & main activities

- personal and group reflection sessions,
- group discussions,
- study visits
- creative interpretations of the framework of the topic,
- mindmapping and brainstorming,
- world-cafe and station-workshops,
- flash mob for public presentaion of the topic.

Outcomes of the activity

- the toolbox of methods for working with sensitive issues have developed for all the participants,
- a deeper understanding of the topic of conflicts in personal and social scale, have been reached,
- a wider network of youth workers was promoted,
- new initiatives were enhanced both in terms of new projects and new collaborations,
- topic of gender related violence have been adressed in an international perspective.

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

Full time facilitation of the workshops, planning of the program, communication with the participants and arranging the study visits.

I worked on this training for 9 days as a full time trainer.
