Aims & objectives

The project was focused on the improvment and ensuring quality standards for European Voluntary Service activities in cooperation between programme countries and neighbouring partners countries from South Eastern Europe (SEE) and the development of the cooperation between programme countries and neighboring partner countries from SEE within the YOUTH in ACTION programme

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

EVS project managers, mentors, project leaders and volunteers from EU27 programme countries and SEE partner countries

Training methods used & main activities

Presentations, exercises, group works and group discussions, roleplays and simulation games, intercultural activities and a excursion including a roundtable with representatives of NGO´s

Outcomes of the activity

Through a wide range of activities the participants shared their experiences about voluntary work in the present countries, exchanged best practice from the daily work of the present organizations, experiences of the partner and participants related to voluntary work of young people, how to approach and attract them and finally shared their knowledge about the implementation of a successful EVS project. Furthermore the team and the trainers supported the participants in gaining knowledge about the YiA programme, it’s philosophy, main aim and objectives, priorities, main actions and financial rules, about the EVS in general, the EVS circle, EVS quality aspects, rights and responsibilities of all parties involved, funding rules and EVS project management.
