Aims & objectives

In the training we adopt the means and working methods of integral expression and dance therapy, which is a multimodal arts therapy approach that uses various means of expression, such as dance, painting, music, poetry, etc.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

A mixed group of 24 youth workers from
9 countries: Turkey, Spain, Poland, Slovakia, Romania, Croatia, Portugal, Hungary and Greek
Youth workers, social workers, psychologists who are wokring with groups of socially unpriviledged youth and aim to get a new tool and approach in their life and in their work.

Training methods used & main activities

In our 10 days long training each day a different artistic modality will be focused on, although it is necessary to use them intertwined, based on authentic bodily sensations and movement.
• Exploring the hidden Dancer within
• Exploring the hidden Painter within
• Exploring the hidden Musician within
• Exploring the hidden Sculptor within
• Exploring the hidden Story-teller within
• Exploring the hidden Performer within
• The hidden Artist takes shape – Integration, conclusions, evaluation.

Outcomes of the activity

The participant get a new tool and approach in their life and in their work.
They discover new ways of expression and connect with their creative sides not shown in everyday life.
They have a 2 days experience of hosting deaf youth and creating program for and with them. Doing this they also learn about working with this target group and also about the possibilities of self-expression.

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

I was co-creator and designer of the training course.
I was co-trainer in the parts using self-expression.
As a facilitator I supported the preparation for the program with the deaf youth.

I worked on this training for 10 days as a full time trainer.
