Aims & objectives

Erasmus+ funded training project focusing on improving the quality of International Volunteering Service projects, by equipping youth workers
with innovative improv skills, mindset and creative project/problem-solving tools (such as design thinking).

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

We were a trainers team of 4, and the 22 participants were a diverse group of teachers and youth workers from 10 countries in total.

Training methods used & main activities

Non-formal education methods: energiser games, role plays, simulations, lots of interactive sessions and reflection discussions. We used improv theatre activities and design thinking as the frame topics of the course.

Outcomes of the activity

We have a short documentary created about it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ctG_xAeFwuA

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

As one of the trainers, I was responsible for designing and delivering from moment one. I was the responsible facilitator of the design thinking block, but actively contributed to the other sessions too and helped the organisers with whatever was needed.

I worked on this training for 6 days as a full time trainer.
