This Seminar is an evaluation & exchange of practices seminar with the main goal of being a meeting point to debate, reflect and understand the role of European Voluntary Service on the life of young man and women, in what concerns the acquisition and development of personal, social and professional competences, first professional work experiences, vocational orientation, etc.
The central issue is to know if EVS is, in an effective way, a bridge towards employability, helping the youth to define their professional itinerary and helping on their vocational choice and later professional inclusion, after a non formal learning experience.
Youth workers, EVS mentors/tutors, Former EVS volunteers, Hosting and Sending (former) organisations representatives, expers and National Agencies representants, stakeholders from Spain, Cyprus, Germany, France, Romania, Slovenia, Poland, Estonia, Bulgaria, Hungary, Portugal and Turkey.
The program was structured with a balanced combination of introductory plenary discussions,
round tables and working groups. The uses of non-formal education methodologies ensure the
active participation of all individuals involved. Working groups and active methods also been used in order to create an environment that encourages a dynamic involvement of all participants. The diversity of approaches have been used in order to addresses the group various ways to better engage and contribute to the discussed topics.
Besides the development of the participants knowledge and experience about entrepreneurship, youth work, youth employment, EVS and competences for employability, participants had the opportunity to developed a Booklet about EVS and Employability.
Full time trainer/ facilitator and co-responsibe for the program design and curriculum.
