TOY - Trainers Online for Youth

The purpose of this initiative was to encourage young people to discuss the questions of their identity and environment, investigating their own cultural identity and wether or not they could find a common ground as Europeans during several sessions of workshops and practical quests, based on media production. The youngsters would raise the issues that they think are important and document it in a creative way.
The training adressed the need to define and actualize limitations and conditions that relation guest-host puts on young people while international activities.
Due to the goals of organization: to find the most efficient way for a person to develop her personality and career and to take the advantages of her international background, this training provided valuable insights and experience on that, involving considerations about new collaborative initiatives.
The target group of the activity were young people that constantly face the challenges of communication between different social and cultural groups in local societies.
The workshops and seminars were carried out by the international team of youth leaders from Belgium, Finland and Sweden. The group included also a support specialist in conflict management. The organizers and partners are non-profit youth organisations Koning Kevin (Belgium), Karavaan (Belgium), resurscentrum ProQvi (Sweden), Oulun Tyttöjen Talo Vuolle Setlementti ry (Finland).
