Aims & objectives

“Coaching for Active Citizenship” is an 8-day training course on enhancing young people’s sense of
active citizenship and initiative by the use of coaching techniques. The activity focused on coaching tools and methods to strengthen active citizenship among youth.
Participants deepened their understanding on the concept of active citizenship and develop
various coaching skills through the use of non-formal education methods.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

Denmark, Bulgaria, Armenia, Georgia, Ukraine, Moldova, Greece and Romania.

Training methods used & main activities

Roleplay, discussion, brainstorming, workshops, storytelling, case studies, debates

Outcomes of the activity

Increased capacity of youth organizations through new coaching tools and techniques to empower young people to be active citizens;
Enhanced understanding of active citizenship concept;
Increased awareness on coaching ethics and standards;
Creation of Action Plans at local, national and European level as follow-up activities and commitment to fulfill them;
Local articles and blogs written by the participants;
Local workshops for the dissemination of the results;
Participants' feedback in the evaluation forms on the knowledge gained regarding the topic.
