Boomerang – inclusion through volunteering

Aims & objectives

To raise awareness about volunteering as a toll for inclusion
To give methodology to work with disadvantaged youth on volunteering
To create common projects with disadvantaged youth on volunteering

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

The participants were from the following countries: Bulgaria, Cyprus, Estonia, Germany, Hungary, Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Spain, Turkey. They represented various institutions, like: schools, youth centers, NGOs, public and local administration.

Outcomes of the activity

The participants could reflect on their target groups and adapted volunteering in their everyday work. New methods, how to work with disadvantaged youth through volunteering were introduced and trained by the participants. Several groups to develop common projects were set up.
