About:

I've come to define my personality and ideas with the following line:
Trainer, nomad, volunteer, freethinker, sustainability seeker, NFE addict, p2p lover, web 2.0 artivist, promoter of a better future for all based on the Commons.

Work experience

I've been called a "professional volunteer" before, for a reason. I absolutely love volunteering and have been doing so for more than a decade, working for various youth organisations, European and national NGOs and informal local groups.

I also have a professional experience as a web/graphic designer, manager of a cinema and computer or sound technician. I do however value my volunteer experience much higher, as I feel I have developed many more skills non-formally rather than formally, by being given the chance to lead a group or event, to manage a team or coordinate a project and, above all, to teach people in a non-formal way, which has led to me now pursuing a professional career as a trainer/facilitator.

I've proudly served as Speaker of AEGEE-Academy, the official pool of trainers of AEGEE (one of Europe's largest interdisciplinary youth organisations), and have delivered over 500 hours of training/facilitation in a multicultural context, to over 1000 trainees.
I'm also an active member of the International Youth Work Trainers Guild, the Trainers, Coaches and Consultants Tribe, as well as the community of the Trainers' Forum.

I have been a full-time trainer/facilitator in the following projects:

Educational pathway

My educational background is in IT (I studied in the Department of Applied Information Technology and Multimedia of the Technological Educational Institute of Crete). However, I value my non-formal education much higher, as I consider it what has defined my personality to what it now is (or at least its good parts).

I have experience working as a trainer/facilitator, following the Non-Formal Education framework in many projects, both as a full-time trainer and as a part-time trainer. These projects are responsible for some of the greatest memories of my life and I can no longer imagine my life without similar experiences.

My experience as a trainer began when a trainer in one of the now more than 140 international events I've attended, convinced me that it would be a good idea, and so, my training adventures began happily and hopefully will keep taking place even more happily ever after!
