To develop “small and big youth projects” improving it's quality.

Objectives:
- To learn how to create a project
- To learn how to create a project with quality
To understand the different steps of the project creation and development
To inform about the use of Information and Communication technologies in youth projects.
To reflect about Citizenship & Participation and National Youth Politics
To inform about the Youth in Action Programme and it's potentialities
To create concrete youth projects

Description of the tool

The Handbook was created to support the work of those who, experienced or not, wish to develop youth projects, advising, giving tips and helping to step from the “Idea” to the project. In the book it's also possible to find other topics such as: projects experiences; information technologies; the Portuguese youth politics; citizenship and participation; the youth in action programme and, finally, the bibliography and other important sources.

Focusing, for example, “Project Step by Step”:
- The room will be decorated with the Pirates theme (time to prepare the room is needed )
The Pirate Captain will be the story teller/facilitator welcoming participants and creating the context of the workshop (pax are invited to use props connected with the Pirate theme).
- The group of around 12 pax will be divided in 2 groups (2 groups of Treasure Hunting Pirates).
- The Treasure Map will be “marked” around the room floor (see Youth Manager handbook Map); different steps with different tasks.
- Each group should complete the different steps of making a project.
In the end, the treasure will be the Project created by the group and the possibility of developing it .the group is motivated to do it.
- After the game: sharing and debriefing about the activity.
