Background Text, Manual
This manual aims to support youth workers in the process of organising an International Volunteer project, to avoid some traps and how to introduce both the volunteers and the organisations to the voluntary
service.
* After introducing the background and evolution of the concept of international voluntary service, the manual provides tools and concepts for the different phases of a voluntary service project (from planning to evaluation).
The last chapter addresses some more specific issues around International Voluntary Services (gender, disadvantaged youth etc) and at the end you will find more relevant sources concerning the topic.
