Simulation Exercise
A funny and effective tool to explore the opportunities for youth offered by the Erasmus+ Programme through peer education.
- get to know the different opportunities offered by Erasmus+ for youth
- stimulate the discussion about Erasmus+ in small groups
- stimulate the creativity of the participants
-stimulate the active involvement of the participants and peer education
You should prepare a paper with the tasks for each group (see the attachment) and 4 papers, one for each group, with the drawing of something that reminds a talk show on one of it, a school in another one, an NGO and an airplane in the last one. the group of participants should be divided in 4 smaller groups of the same size.
Than you can explain that to the participants that they are going to explore Erasmus+: each group should read and present a specific part of the Erasmus+ guide performing a specific situation: a talk show, a school, an NGO and the cabin crew of a very special airplane!
Now you can deliver the sections of the Erasmus+ guide, the tasks and the illustrations to each group.
The first group should read and prepare a presentation of the section of the Erasmus+ programme guide “What is the structure of the Erasmus + programme” playing a Talk show with showman and guests.
The second group will read and prepare a presentation the section of the Erasmus+ programme guide “Youth” playing about a class in an High School, with the teacher who saw the Talk show about Erasmus+ and is now reporting to her students the section related to youth encouraging them to go to an NGO to have more details.
The third group will read and present the section of the Erasmus+ programme guide “Mobility projects for young people and youth workers” staging an NGO whose workers give information to some young people who want to participate to a youth exchange, to a boy who wants to be an EVS volunteer and to a youth worker who wants to improve his abilities.
The fourth group will read and present the section of the Erasmus+ programme guide “General info about Erasmus+” staging a cabin crew that is preparing the passengers for landing for an Erasmus+ Flight and experience!
The participants have 30 minutes to prepare their presentations and then the Erasmus+ voyage will start: each group will make the presentation, starting from group 1 to four and a facilitator should introduce each presentation.
