The RIDE University module contains 12 weeks of suggested content and recommended European and country-specific literature to provide future youth workers with relevant and comprehensive training on Inclusion, Diversity and Equality topics.

Aims of the tool

To help University lectures develop a course of teaching around topics linked with inclusion, diversity and equality.

To deepen the knowledge of future youth workers about the principles of inclusion, diversity and equality in youth work.

Description of the tool

Education and Training Resource – University Module was developed within RIDE project co-funded by Erasmus+ and contains a module content for Higher Education Institutions.

The purpose of this resource is to help University lecturers develop a course of teaching (called
a module) or one or more individual lectures/seminars around topics linked with Inclusion,
Diversity and Equality. It is not exhaustive, there are further elements that could be included
but it is meant to be a resource to help new and further teaching on this topic.
It contains twelve weeks of suggested content with suitable ways into the topic, suggested
literature and ways to help students apply their learning to both a specific country context
and a youth work setting.

RIDE stands for Resources for Inclusion, Diversity and Equality and it is a two-year project funded by Erasmus+ European Fund establishing a network of partners who share a common vision and understanding of quality youth work practice and providing youth workers with a comprehensive Toolbox of practice resources implementing principles of inclusion, diversity and equal opportunities.
