Project Book "YOUth for Latvia"

Aims of the tool

1. Provide Romanian youth to try themselves as entrepreneurs, develop the sense of initiative, confidence of their powers; provide learning space for new knowledges and skills which will help them with future social business initiatives back home
2. Develop inclination toward active citizenship; increase youth participation in community and civic life;
3. Promote social support and inclusion among young people;
4. Promote Erasmus+ Programme as an opportunity for integration of youth in the local community and in an international context;
5. Assist Latvian organization in becoming more independent and sustainable;
6. Provide Latvian youth with information on EU policy and the EU integration process; encourage inter-cultural learning from both sides.

Description of the tool

Project Book was created during the EVS "YOUth for Latvia" and contains information about the project, Erasmus+ programme, Latvian NA, photo examples of activities and other connected information.

"YOUth for Latvia" was an 12 months EVS project that took a place in Riga, Latvia and was seeking to tackle several important problems such as high unemployment rate among youngsters; uncertainty towards future and general disbelief in positive development; exclusion; lack of initiative; skepticism in possibility to realize themselves in their home country, which exist in two countries - Latvia and Romania.
