Manual
Guide created during a YE about EVS in Málaga September 2017. We create this tool in order to facilitate the process of a Volunteering abroad for a short and long term. Specially those volunteer of EVS program.
European Voluntary Service is one of the most useful learning process that European commission giving to youngsters of Europe and even abroad. This program is giving the opportunity to develop ourselves working and collaborating with NGOs in several fields. But what should be a really nice experience sometimes become a period of time where the participant does not get and learn what he / she wanted to do or what he / she should!
An EVS project has a lot of factors, process and parts and all of them are really important in order to create a good and productive learning process. Sometimes a proper care is not provided to some parts. This situation, in our point of view appears because of the lack of knowledge that sometimes the future volunteer has to take care before decide to go to an EVS project and stay abroad for a while.
And that's why we, Almenaras Youth Association, decided to create a young exchange with youngsters that wanted to go to an EVS project and young people that already did it, in order to speak, work and make a reflection about all of this process and create a guide to help the future and currently volunteer, and all the parts of An EVS project.
Hi my dear reader;
We want to introduce you this tool created during the YE Let’s EVS, done in Málaga in September 2017 (18th-25th). In this project we have been working about all the EVS process in order to improve it as much as possible. We wanted to set up something that could help both, future volunteers and associations working with EVS. If you are part of this groups here you are going to find a tool with information, thoughts, feelings and advice that our participants shared in ours activities. We put our heart in the whole process and we think that the results are really useful. We hope you will find in it what you are looking for. Enjoy it ☺
Regards from Asociación Juvenil Almenaras’ team.
