Let's evaluate with the smily!

Aims of the tool

- Evaluate all the activities implemented during the day or the entire youth exchange/training course in a fun and interactive way
- Allow the participants to express their liking without any inhibition using a non verbal tool

Description of the tool

You should prepare 3 voting paddles for each participant, showing the different emoticon on it in order to allow the participant to express 3 different levels of liking; the emoticon on the paddles could the the following :) :| :S. The creation of the puddle is very simple: in a big yellow paper draw and cut out 3 circles for participant; draw the emoticon on them with a black felt-tip pen and stick on the rear of each yellow circle a stick for skewers.
You should prepare a paper for each activity you want evaluate, with the title of the activity on it.

How to manage the evaluation phase?

Distibute the 3 different voting paddles to each participants and ask them to stay closer in a random order; tell them that they are the jury and they are going to vote the activities of the day/project: when you will show and tell them the name of activity, they should choose and raise the paddle corresponding to their feeling/level of liking related to that activity. Ask them to keep the paddles up until the next name of activity allowing to a staff member to take a picture to record the result of the evaluation of each activity.
