Simulation Exercise, Energiser, Manual
A very simple and easy to read compilation of craft ideas, games and energizers to play with children.
Created by young volunteers based on their own experience with children, this manual is a great cheat sheet for anyone who works with kids.
- promote interaction between children and the development of social skills
- promote the development of motor and cognitive skills of children
- facilitate the integration of volunteers within kindergarten or other child care settings
This manual was developed by international volunteers Petra and Lisa, within the project "Europe throug the eyes of children", in which they took part in post-kidergarten activities in Lousã (Portugal).
The manual contains some of the activities that the volunteers developed within the project and a few other that they had planned and could not implement due to the COVID-19 lockdown.
It has a dual purpose: on one hand to share the project results and the knowledge acquired and by the volunteers and, on the other hand, to inspire and support future volunteers (or anyone else!) to relate with children, integrate themselves in a new context, especially when there is a language barrier. The manual is a reminder that games and fun or creative activities bring people together and ease communication.
