GloBall - a toolkit for youth workers working with young migrants, refugees and asylum-seekers
The tool kit you are holding is the translation of a tool that was originally developed within and for Flemish youth work. It exists as a website: www.wereldspelers.be and targets youth workers who have little experience in working with newcomers.
Aims of the tool
We hope this tool kit can inspire youth workers from different countries. It is a valuable resource for youth workers and youth organisations who are looking for guidance in their
(future) work with young migrants, refugees and asylum seekers (YMRA).
Description of the tool
The tool kit you are holding is the translation of a tool (in Dutch language) that was originally developed within and for Flemish youth work. It exists as a website: www.wereldspelers.be (in Dutch language) and targets youth workers who have little experience in working with newcomers. This translation has been made possible within the ‘Becoming part of Europe’ project thanks to Erasmus+ Youth in Action funds.
This toolkit has been adapted, where possible, to make it are useful tool for the rest of Europe. It does however contain references to Flemish youth work.
The most important is to think outside this Flemish box and adapt whatever
you can for use in your specific context! We hope this tool kit can inspire youth workers from different countries. It is a valuable resource for youth workers and youth organisations who are looking for guidance in their
(future) work with young migrants, refugees and asylum seekers (YMRA).
