Get to know the Erasmus+/YiA - Key Action 1

A session presenting:
- the objectives of the Erasmus+/Youth in Action programme,
and,
- the Key Action 1
through Video + Quizz + Silent group puzzle + Peer Sharing experiences + Questions and Answers.

Aims of the tool

Getting to know the objectives of E+/YiA.
Information on the 3 actions of the Key Action 1 (Youth Exchanges, EVS, Youth Workers' Learning Mobilities).
Sharing experiences and good practises through peer discussions.
Motivate people to participate and implement YiA projects.

Description of the tool

1. VIDEO PROJECTION
* Welcome participants in the room with chairs in rows (as in cinema).
* Show the video about ojectives of E+/YiA programme (from beginngin till 1'48''):

2. QUIZZ
Play the Quizz on the objectives of ERASMUS+/YiA (see file attached)
Give small prices (I gave nuts and walnut)

3. SILENT GROUP PUZZLE
a) Ask people to put chairs in circle and sit
b) Give them a piece of paper with a word on it => they should not show or look at the paper
c) Explain that this exercices will be about the basic elements of the 3 actions of Key-Action1 of the E+/YiA
d) put on the ground 3 papers with number 1, 2, 3 for the 3 actions (Youth Exchanges, EVS, Y W Learning Mobilities).
e) Tell to participants:
"On each paper is a part of the elements of those 3 actions."
"The elements are: the name of the action, the duration, the number of participants, the age range
f) participants look at their paper and together and in silence try to place on the ground their papers in order.
g) when finished: ask participants if everything is at its place, if not correct.

4. PEER SHARING
For each action, ask participants if they have already participated to such actions/projects, and shortly share their experience.

5. QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
Ask people to place themselves in the room around the action they wish to know more.
Create groups with one experts (trainers, ex. EVS, ex. participant to youth exchange) about those actions.
In sub-group participants are asking questions; expert answers; if a participant (not the questionner) knows the answer, s/he is very welcome to express her/his it.
