Handbook was created during the project “Gender Approved!” The main activity of the project “Gender Approved!” was the Training Course that took place in Riga, Latvia from November 28, 2015 until December 6, 2015.

Aims of the tool

The aims of the toolbox are:
to give the beginner youth workers a sense of main points how to work with a group,
to give youth workers information on gender inequality issues,
to give youth workers knowledge on LGBT(lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender) youth

Description of the tool

You can learn in from the handbook:

- the main types of education - formal, non-formal, informal
- the principles of non-formal education
- about the group(importance of the group in learning, group builing, stages of group development)
- situation of gender equality in Latvia, Belgium, Denmark, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco
- situation of LGBT rights in Latvia, Belgium, Denmark, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco
- Oppression techniques
- Pyramid of hate
- LGBT terms
- World maps, indexes on gender equality and LGBT rights
- methods of non-formal learning like (Safety challenge, Moving debate, Forum Theatre)
