“Erasmus+ Storytelling: Of Grandmothers and Grandchildren (and a Wedding)”
“Erasmus+ Storytelling" is a short storytelling video about the opportunities that Europe has offered to two young people from a small town like Purchena, Spain, comparing them with those of their grandmothers
Aims of the tool
- Recognize and appreciate the opportunities Erasmus + offers to young people in rural areas.
- Make visible the improvement of the quality of life of young people today compared to those of previous generations thanks to Europe and to programs such as Erasmus +.

This short video tells the story of two youngsters from Purchena, Spain, about the opportunities that Europe has offered to them, living a small town, comparing them with those of their grandmothers. The video tells also the story about a wedding between a Turkish girl and a Spanish boy from this town who met thanks to the Erasmus + program and got married.
This video has been edited for the activities of the European Youth Week (EYW) 2019 developed in Purchena (Almería) organized by Eurodesk Qualified Multiplier of the Youth Information Center of this town and Illipula youth association.
The project of EYW 2019 in Purchena has been co-funded by the Erasmus + program of the European Union and in which the Andalusian Institute of Youth, INJUVE, and the Spanish National Agency that manages the # Erasmus + Youth programs have also participated.
The video was shown in five sessions of the European Youth Week 2019 to youngsters from 13 to 18 years old. There was a debate after every screening.
