DARE Digital Storytelling Handbook of Empowerment!
The DARE Digital Storytelling Handbook of Empowerment! fosters inclusion in youth exchanges and explores the concepts of peer support. Young people can get to know more about the Erasmus+ program and their opportunities to get engaged.
Aims of the tool
- Foster engagement of young people and increase peer support of and for young people with visual, hearing and physical impairments;
- Increase the level of active participation of young people with and without disabilities at the local and EU levels by raising awareness about Erasmus+ Youth Mobility Projects and encouraging them to participate in international youth exchanges.
Description of the tool
The DARE Digital Storytelling Handbook of Empowerment fosters inclusion in youth exchanges and explores the concepts of peer support, encouragement and motivation among young people. It relies on storytelling, which helps the reader imagine new perspectives, therefore inviting a transformative and empathetic experience, by fostering peer support among young people with and without disabilities.
The handbook lists and brushes up the skills of young people that already have experiences with international youth projects and would like to support anyone interested in participating in Erasmus+ Youth Mobilities. By becoming a DARE Ambassador, young people will promote active citizenship at all levels.
The Handbook includes audiovisual material and it is accessible, to include everyone in the effort to remove architectural, physical and psychological barriers for young people with disabilities wishing to participate in youth-led activities.
