To enable participants to share their understanding of CD as well as increasing their knowledge about it

Description of the tool

- Participants watch cartoon “Birds”, this is used as an introduction to the session and to make participants think about CD, but there is no debriefing or discussion afterwards
- Individually people are invited to write what they associate when they hear the words “culture” and “diversity”. Post-its are put together on the flipchart.
- In mixed groups people discuss the meaning of “cultural diversity” and prepare the short sketch, which reflects their understanding. Groups perform sketches.
- Participants watch movie “Diversity Day”. After the movie people are invited to share their thoughts related cultural diversity. One team member makes notes. A mind map of CD is brought to the attantion of the participants based on the things they share with the group during the debriefing.
