Description of the tool

The quiz could be the next step after providing some essential information about the Youth in Action programme. In the SALTO TC Rural the first part contained of: a) presentation on the context of the programme; b) working on objectives and general priorities of the programme; c)presentation of general structure of the programme by using short videos about each action and asking participants to share their experiences of implementing projects of that Action.

Quiz. People are divided into groups of max. 4 people. They could think of the name and motto of their group at the very beginning. Every group is getting short info-sheet about the Youth in Action programme and/or 1 copy of the programme guide (if paper copy doesn’t exist, sometime is possible to provide a laptop with Programme guide opened).

For every question, there is 1 minute for writing the answer on the post-it and handing it in for the “referee” (a person counting right and wrong answers of all groups). After all answers are collected, the next slide is shown with the explanations and the right answer. There could be some short open discussion, clarifying the answer.

After the quiz is over, provide prizes for participation and winning.

Please look at the power point presentation attached to this tool for questions and answers. Be aware that this Quiz was adapted to the SALTO TC Rural for youth workers, working in rural/isolated areas. You can/should make adaptation according to the specific target group or topic of the event.

Comment: After the quiz, It might be the situation that people still have various questions about the Youth in Action programme. Then it’s good time to organise session of Questions and Answers. The team should be ready to answer! (up to 30 min.)
