To get the expectations (towards the program, team, the other participants, etc) and fears of the participants

Description of the tool

The participants are divided into 5 groups. Each group asked for 1 person to volunteer to be the reporter. 5 flip-chart papers are put in the different places of the room in a circle; on each flip-chart paper one of the following is written:
1-Expectations towards the program
2-Expectations from the team
3-Expectations from the participants
4-Fears
5-White-spot (to be filled out by participants for expectations towards other things not mentioned)

Each group starts with one of the paper, for 5 minutes everybody speaks out about the topic and the reporter reports the things expressed. After 5 minutes, the groups are asked to change in the clockwise direction. The reporters remain in the original group and briefly explain what the other groups said. This continues until all the groups visit all the flip-chart papers. Then the papers are hanged on the wall, in the next 3 minutes, while the participants read the papers (the team is also expected to do so), the reporters also write their ideas under different topics. The expectations are kept on the wall during the training. After getting back in the plenary setting, one of the team members reflect/give feedback on the expectations and the fears (this can also be done before presenting the program or at the beginning of the second morning session depending on the flow).
