The Outcome IO3 Raise up Training Manual is realised in the Project Erasmus+ KA2 Youth "RAISE!" It offers a guidance and practical tools for young people and any activist or youth worker to develop alternative narratives to counter Hate Speech

Aims of the tool

The IO3 Raise up Training Manual has the aim to strengthen reactions to hate speech, by countering, counterbalancing and preventing hate speech and taking social spaces with positive narratives and stories of civil audacity. That’s why with the transformation of the case studies into Alternative Narratives, we understood how to stimulate deeper critical reflection on the complex reality we live in and its pathways as alternatives to hate spreading, through a positive approach.

Description of the tool

Together with the creation of the IO3 the Partnership also produced:
- 6 Comics (1 per Partner) that showcased graphically case studies of hate speech from the IO3 and alternative narratives that young people from the C2 training came up with. The comics were co-produced with young people.
- an Annex document, which required extra number of working days (then also an additional month) for each Partner, that includes:
An overview Education for Democracy and Human Rights in Europe in each Partner country, as well as a European point of view
6 training activities for young people with a Human Rights approach

alternative narratives and counter narratives detailed presentation

During the Training activity C2, coordinated by the Partner USB, the 18 young people involved, co-produced some contents of the Manual, useful to realise Comics, Counter and alternative narratives.
