Youth for Employment

young people deal with the issue of youth unemployment.

The meeting will take place from 28th August to 7 September 2017 in Landshut (Germany) and is funded by the European Union. There is an own contribution of 30 percents of the airline ticket.

35 young people from five countries (Egypt, Russia, Poland, France and Germany) deal with the issue of youth unemployment. The will outline the situation in their country , demonstrate best-practice examples of
youth employment , and in small groups they will find out what options are abroad for employment (work, training, internships, European voluntary service , au pair , Travel and Work ) and how mobility is encouraged. Participants will have the opportunity to apply for a project or a stay abroad during the project.
The young people give a summary of the labour market policies of their country with respect to the employment of young people. Then, in small groups, they find out which possibilities of political participation are there. With the support of a trainer they write motions and resolutions for parliaments and committees with decision makers. These motions and resolutions are voted within a Transnational Youth Parliament and presented in a self-organized press conference on youth unemployment.
A film group documents the project.

The young people can stay in the youth hostel Landshut.
