Young Romanians "Together" with Young Europeans

We are The Directorate for Social Assistance - Municipality of Piatra Neamt, Romania. We are a local public body, subordinated to the Municipality of Piatra Neamt, Romania. Our main responsibilities are to offer services and different activities in order to increase the social reintegration of vulnerable persons of city of Piatra Neamt. We coordinate 7 centers dedicated to vulnerable persons such as: elders, children, teenagers, homeless persons and also social canteen, a day center and a system of home cares for elders especially.

The project aims to provide an opportunity for a group of 10 young people from the Social Center “Together” to participate, for 5 days in a workshop based on non - formal learning methods that encompass the individual's personal development based on techniques that include interpersonal skills, teamwork, self-confidence, discipline, responsibility, planning skills, coordination and organization/family management skills, ability to solve practical problems, etc.

By means of informal education, the young participants in the project will be given the opportunity to adopt certain attitudes, to outsource certain behaviors and to internalize certain values, thus contradicting his or her psychosocial profile. In this way, the young person will fill in the information he has acquired through the other forms of education he has been taking over the years in the educational units he has activated and further complements the deficiencies with which young people with fewer opportunities from the disadvantaged environments come.

Along with the target group of the project, youth workers will also be involved - specialized staff within the specialized structure of The Directorate for Social Assistance - Municipality of Piatra Neamt, in various fields of activity.

We are looking for at least one partner who is eligible for this funding, the host country to receive the target groups and who fits in the requirements of the project (10 young people with fewer opportunities)
