Work for Your Future Today

In most European countries, youth unemployment is one of the major challenges of our time. According to European Commission unemployment rate between young people (aged 15-24 years) is very high, even if it’s decreasing (from more than 23% in February 2013 to less than 19% in August 2016). The target group of the project are current and potential young people who want to share their experiences in home countries and make a positive change in their society. Young people after their studies not always are able to find job very fast. Usually employees require to have long time job experience in a specific field, for example 2 or 3 years. But it is barely possible because almost all his life person was studying. Even if he had any kind of short-term seasonal job, it doesn’t look very reliable. So, there is no way out of this situation.

The main objectives of the project:
-Collecting and sharing the best experiences;
-Discussing about reasons which are making influence for high and low unemployment rates;
-Searching for solutions which could decrease the unemployment rate;
-Improving self representation skills;
-Extend each participant's boundaries (can'ts turn into cans);
-Giving a possibility for each participant to find his strongest advantages and knowledges;
-Informing participants about the requirements for successful CV;
-Getting the dream job during the simulation games;
-Gaining team-working skills which will be useful for the future job;

Our organization is interested in young people problems and issues which are important for Europe now. While working with other projects we are communicating with young people and we know which problems are making their life harder. After studies young people are entering the new adult world which seems very difficult. Suddenly, person has to take care of everything on his own. Despite finding what he wants from his life, where he wants to live, young person has to find a job which would give a possibility to earn money and to express his own personality.

Other reason why young people are not able to find a job is the lack of knowledge how to show yourself in the best way. Some young people have not enough self-confidence, they don’t trust themselves. Because of that it is hard to express the best features which would be useful for a chosen job. This project would bring the opportunity to solve that kind of problem with workshops and simulation games. Participants would get some information how to prepare their CV’s and how to show up in a job interviews. During the simulation games participants would perform situations from real life. After each performance they would get the feedback from organizers and other participants. Because of that all failures or good choices would be clear.
In order to make people more confident we will introduce some entrepreneurship details for them. Some games will let participants to get rid of weaknesses and gain strengthnesses.

One of the main characters which is very important for nowadays employees are good team-working skills. Because of that our project will also focus on this topic. Even thought, some people are very individualistic, it is necessary to be able understand other members of the team, their needs and ideas. When people can finally find out what is important for each of them and listen each other opinion in a polite way, the magic happens.

There is a gap of more than 30 percentage points between the Member State with the lowest rate of youth unemployment (Germany at 7%) and the Member States with the highest rates, Greece (48%) and Spain (43%). This project would gather people together from countries with lowest and highest unemployment rates. Because of that participants could share their experiences and ideas about reasons which are shaping this situation. After this project the participants will bring good experiences to their home country.
