Volunteers for Environment PBA

We have an open place for one-two participants from Portugal, Spain and Latvia for an approved partnership building activity Volunteers for Environment to take place 20-25 May, 2012 in Tsaghkadzor, Armenia. The PBA is organized by Stepanavan Youth Center (SYC-Armenia) and Youth and Environment, Europe (YEE-Czech Republic). The PBA will be implemented in the frames of the “Youth in Action” programme of the European Commission and is financially supported by the Youth in Action Executive Agency.

Priority will be given to participants younger than 31 years old following the internal policy of applying organization: YEE. We will select the participants on a rolling bases, so the sooner you contact us, the more chance to get involved.

The PBA aims to connect youth organizations from EU and Eastern European/Caucasian countries interested and involved in environmental activities and working with volunteers. The goal is to provide a platform to get acquainted with environmental issues, challenges, policies, campaigns and movements engaging young volunteers in protecting nature and to create possibilities for exchange of information and experience, best practices and volunteer management models, to develop new strategies/ideas for joint projects, to learn about possibilities that YiA provides and new opportunities of cooperation with EECA region, and to enhance skills in running quality projects

Arrival/Departure:
Arrival: morning of 20thMay 2012 to Tsaghkadzor, Armenia
Departure: late afternoon of 25th May 2012 from Tsaghkadzor, Armenia

Participant profile:
- Preferably younger than 31 years old
- Experience of working in youth organizations
- Experienced in environmental projects, international projects and work with volunteers
- In a position to initiate and follow up European project on behalf of their organizations

Travel Costs:
The Organisers will reimburse 70% of participants' travel costs from the home city to the venue of the PBA.
Participants will be reimbursed shortly after their return home upon presenting original tickets, invoices and boarding passes.
