Training course "Think globally - Volunteer locally"

// PROJECT SUMMARY

The association “Urban Society” from Skopje is looking for partners for a project “Think globally – Volunteer locally” that is planning to submit to the Macedonian National Agency on 11th of May 2021 deadline. The project is envisioned as a residential training course for youth workers and youth leaders coming from 10 European countries that will be organized at the beginning of 2022 in North Macedonia.

Active citizenship involves volunteering as a tool for individual and society progress. Many young people do not identify things that have taken part in as volunteering. They are unaware of the benefits of volunteering and the meaning of volunteering mobility. The implementation of this project will contribute towards making young people aware of the diversity of volunteering opportunities that exist today.

The aim of the proposal “Think globally-volunteer locally” is to provide youth workers with competencies and practices to promote and properly inform young people about volunteering as a tool for active citizenship, as well as individual and society progress.

This training course will also provide youth workers with tools, information and resources that can help them to make young people aware of the diversity of volunteering opportunities that are available for them.

// PROJECT OBJECTIVES

- To develop a volunteering platform where any interested party can be well informed at any time, according to their interests,
- To improve volunteering mobility of young people, locally, regionally and on European level,
- To share good volunteering practices, ideas and solutions of common problems,
- To promote European programs for volunteering and possibilities for mobility of young people,
- To build strong partnerships and connections which will serve as a base for further activities and projects.
The working methods used throughout the training course will be various non-formal educational and creative methods that will include: brainstorming, discussions, groups work, work in groups, simulations, debates, theatre, role playing, presentations and outdoor activities.

- 27 EU member states, EFTA countries, Serbia and Turkey

Each partner organisation should send 3 participants: youth workers, youth leaders or active members that are involved in the work of the organisation.

Please use the format of the PIF that we attach to this call for partners. It doesn’t need to be the same document, but it MUST have the answers to all questions included in it.
