Think global, act local

After we have participated and organized number of youth exchanges the question about their environmental impact appeared. How many resources are we actually using? How to create a sustainable exchange? How to promote an active lifestyle? The project has been born from the wish to include experts and young Europeans in a training of sharing and discovery of the environmental, social and project sustainability.
Very important for the project was collaboration with the local community, with local organisations of Turin and Trento regions in Italy. The project in two mobilities included 50 participants and 14 organisations.
Training course happened 17.-23.5.2016 in Ca’ Mariuccia, an agricultural structure based on biodynamics next to Turin. In this stage 15 experts from different countries met and discussed the topics proposed with the objective find a common base from that the following activities have been developed. 28.7.-6.8.2016 in Trento youth exchange happened with 36 participants. The program included different activities that have been developed in the training course and related to non-formal education. For example: walk in the mountains and sport activities, workshop about gardens, recycling of the materials, orienteering, vegan cooking workshop. During the project the participants collected the waste and by that self-reflect their impact, discussions and good practices have been shared between the participants to learn about the our actions that effect environment and finding the soulutions to be implemented in our daily life especially while creating and coordinating projects.
