"The colors of diversity" Vol.2

long-term 10 month voluntary work project in Bulgaria; organizing a festival and non formal leisure formats for children, young people and adults

The "Colors of Diversity" Vol. 2 is a volunteer project that will be implemented in Bulgaria by Association of Young Psychologists in Bulgaria "4th April" with the financial support of Erasmus + and in partnership of 2 European organizations.
LONG-TERM OBJECTIVE The project aims to stimulate the European dimension of the preservation and promotion of the cultural identity, traditions and customs of the EU Member States through a volunteer project and the methods of non-formal education, recognition of their values ​​of freedom, tolerance, solidarity, understanding and respect for human rights.
Volunteers will carry out activities in Bulgaria from 01.10.2019 to 31.07.2020. Тhey will undergo intensive specialized training 1) to acquire and / or upgrade knowledge, skills and competencies for field work with children, young people and adults; 2) for organizing and implementing public events and a festival.
After the training they will be divided into pairs in the cities of Velingrad and Yambol, where they will have the task to promote, organize and carry out regular activities with children, young people and adults to full the free time in informal activities and forms of workshops, recreation of traditions, customs and crafts, visual arts, cultural events, sports, culinary activities and activities in the nature and fruit growing; formats to recreate traditions, customs, crafts from the region, the country and other EU member states; formats and events to promote values ​​of freedom, tolerance, solidarity and respect for human rights. Another important aspect of the work of the volunteers (06-07.2020) will be the organization and realization of the Festival of crafts, arts, culture, healthy eating and lifestyle, hygiene of psyche, sport, connection with nature and outdoor activities. The festival will be 3 days, with many workshops, workshops and more. formats for the general public as a space to bring together people of different ages and interests to put the themes and problems of the project.
Volunteer activities will take place in open air - in parks, gardens, stadiums, etc., as well as in youth and cultural centers, library etc .; centers for the elderly and for children, young people and adults with disabilities.
Another important aspect of the work of the volunteers (06-07.2020) will be the organization and realization of the Festival of crafts, arts, culture, healthy eating and lifestyle, hygiene of psyche, sport, connection with nature and outdoor activities. The festival will be 3 days, with many workshops and more formats for the general public as a space to bring together people of different ages and interests to put the themes and problems of the project.
The project also provides for follow-up activities to promote and disseminate results; seminars, round tables and information days for the general public.

Under the project, a total of 4 volunteers are selected for selection: at age 17-30, two volunteers without experience in volunteer projects or less than 2 months; regardless of religion, sexual preference and ethnic origin; with low to medium economic and / or social origin and / or isolated geographic areas; with interest and / or knowledge, skills, experience in the topics: health and well-being; youth inclusion and work; intergenerational dialogue and lifelong learning; creativity, culture, customs, traditions, crafts; outdoor and in-contact activities, connection to nature.
