The Partner-Finding Tool
For KA229 Project,Afyonkarahisar Turkey is looking for eligible partners having interest about Stem and Lego Education.
Hi,
This year ,we are planning to apply a KA2 project that we have lots of experiences about it from our past projects. The subject of the project is “Bringing STEAM to life with Lego Education”.As you know, STEAM integrating the arts in STEM as well is important because it pervades every part of our lives. The difference between STEAM and the traditional science -math education is the blended learning environment and showing students how the scientific method can be applied to everyday life. It teaches students computational thinking and focuses on the real world applications of problem solving. In this project, the teachers role is not giving the whole STEM education, they will encourage their students to pursue STEAM activities by playing LEGO and also adding Art + Design into these,so they will increase awareness and interest at school with extracurricular activities. The students will not only learn how to build legos, they will have have a deeper understanding about Coding by using their creativity, analytical thinking skills and problem solving strategies. Of course,we are not a vocational school and we and also our students are not expert in using ICT but why don’t we help them to gain information about the coding while developing 21st-century skills through computational thinking.
My students are between 14-18 years old. The possible partners should bear in mind that they have to buy LEGO MINDSTORMS Education EV3 Core Set to conduct the project activities successfully and the project duration will be 2 years. We prefer working with Secondary Schools that want to learn and discover Lego Education with us,not vocational ones because they have knowledge about the topic already. If you do not have any experiences but really want to learn, every eligible school is welcomed.
