Power of Unity

Aim of the international Youth Exchange Project "Power Of Unity" is connected with one of the most important challenge of nowadays Europe and world, migration on local and global level. People living in rural areas are faced to different kind of problems and needs, what often becomes reasons of migrating indigenous inhabitants for looking for better live without knowing what are the problems they might face. With this youth exchange project we will bring together youth from different European and Non-European rural settlements and by using non-formal methodology , visits and thematic workshops, create comfortable space where they can share their experiences and daily life between each other.
By combining three different but closely connected subjects together, it is hoped to help the participants to find inspiration to stay and find creative solutions for developing their home places and give them the chance to think share the final results of their work with the other participants. We truly believe that there is much hidden in those creative young minds whose opinion is still rather restrained in the public opinion as a whole. This project would be a way to boost youngsters out-of-the-box thinking and stepping in to an inter-cultural dialogue with people from other nationalities.

More concretely, the objectives of this Youth Exchange are:
- to raise the awareness about migration
- to raise the awareness of the importance of youth participation in the decision-making process
- to show youngsters opportunities that can be created by them for developing their areas
- to challenge and practice creative thinking
- to use creativity to express their opinions and thoughts
- to foster peer-dialog about matters concerning youth participation in developing processes on local level
- to share knowledge, experiences, strategies, tools and ideas
- to encourage critical and analytical skills
- to acquire and transfer new methods of non-formal education
- to raise cultural awareness, foster inter-cultural dialogue and mutual understanding
