PHOTOINCLUSION

The project is a youth exchange that combines social photography skills with focus on disadvantaged categories who will become subjects of photography.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The project is a youth exchange that combines social photography skills development with the focus on disadvantaged categories, who will become subjects of photography. The project brings together 40 participants from 5 countries aged 18-25, who are passionate about photography and have a camera to use in the project.
The objectives are:
1. To develop skills and techniques of social photography
2. To connect with disadvantaged communities and categories
3. To raise awareness in community through photography
4. To foster multiculturalism and interaction between young people from different countries
The project will take place in Timisoara, Romania (photography in poorer neighborhoods /Roma neighborhoods and outside the city).
Activities we propose:
We will discover what social photography stands for and which conditions are the best in order to obtain the desired results. We will work together on identifying photography subjects- walking in poor neighborhoods and in Roma communities. We will meet photographers and discuss different visions and approaches on social photography. We will place our interest in photography in broader inclusive European spirit. We will create a social photography project- exhibition in the center of Timisoara.
