Onda Europa

"Onda Europa" is a radio broadcast initiative to debate and know better the opportunities of being european. We will use FM and podcasting to spread the show.

The only way to address the reality of our social environment, the preservation of our European identity and the promotion of the image of an active and committed youth is by raising values education, respect for diversity and knowledge of our European social reality in the population, which must be sensitive to our problems as young people that we are. It is for all this that education and the promotion of information is the key to mutual respect, solidarity (including intergenerational), and in our project, in this sense the media will play a fundamental role. One of the essential problems in Europe and also
in the Canary Islands, especially in the most populated islands, is the issue of cohabitation between people of different origins and cohabitation in rather hostile urban environments, particularizing the treatment that we receive especially from young people, particularly migrants. But in our social environment there is an important potential that can not only serve to generate opinion among young people, but above all to imply that social wealth allows us to expand our traditions, values and social reality. This medium can be radio, in its most traditional form (FM) as well as in its most current medium (podcast).

The success of the company that we propose here will depend on our behavior, on the information that we handle in this matter. We understand, with this project, that the process can be made much broader and reach many more young people (and not young people) using the media. A radio space with a social and European theme, where people, especially the youngest, coexist in communion with each other, with special emphasis on the problems that affect the youngest, will be what concerns us in this project.

GENERAL OBJECTIVE. Create a youth population of about 10,000 people sensitive to the sustainability of diverse human relationships in today's real European context and their encounter with the social environment in this context of pandemic, diversity and economic crisis.

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES
• Position the youth population facing the problem posed by the social situation that we have in the Canary Islands and Europe with a modern and dynamic perspective, playful, young and entertaining.
• Raise awareness where it is evident that we, the individuals themselves, are the first responsible for managing and preserving coexistence between people.
• Show the existing alternatives to the current situation through a means of communication to improve the current parameters of coexistence.
• Laying the foundations for the creation of a youth radio station (using new technologies linked to the Internet) with eminently social content aimed at raising awareness of young people with the social environment and which links especially young people from rural and isolated environments, having as a vehicle this means of communication based on an Internet support and a local station in this first experience, which we hope to be able to expand in the future.
• Publicize community programs of interest to young people, giving special emphasis to the “Erasmus +” program, its possibilities and potentialities.
• To induce the young individual to become aware of the social problems of our immediate
environment where the music made by young people has “the singing voice”.
• Teach skills in the management and use of European projects in a practical, realistic and responsible way.
• Create a platform with the programs made, turning them into podcasts. The program will contain: Interviews, musical themes and other detailed content in this same form.
