On the Road for Safe Sex

Project description:

The project starts from 15th April 2012 till 15th of October 2012.
The project “On the Road for Safe Sex” focuses mainly on health prevention for young people, but also offers the possibility for the volunteer to participate in (or help develop) other international activities and projects. Within the framework of JOETZ, there’s first of all the Condo Tour where the primary focus is about promoting safe sex and the use of condoms. This project is run with one of the 2 van's we have, which means we literally go on the road to promote safe sex to places where young people are during the summer ( youth houses, festivals, etc.) Besides this, the volunteer can also participate in developing our current health projects and/ or promote our existing projects to young people.

Profile:

The volunteer should be between 18 and 30 years old at the beginning of their voluntary activity. He/she has to have good driving skills since he/she has to drive our van. He/ she should be interested in working in a youth organization; international youth work; in the context of Non formal education. He/ she should be able to work autonomously but in group as well. He/ she is also interested in the field of health: in the broad sense of the word but in the specific context of sexual and reproductive health as well. There's no specific knowledge required. The volunteer shouldn't have specific knowledge of Dutch/ French.

Procedure:

Interested candidates should send us the completed questionnaire in attachment, CV and motivation letter before the 10th of October.
