New methods in medicinal pedicure and manicure - MANIPADI

The main aim of the project is to provide quality education in the field of manicure and pedicure, to train pupils on new methods of medical pedicure and manicure, their skills will meet market need.
Participants will gain the necessary experience for recognize of health status of the feet, hands and nails will be based on its own analysis, so they will be able to determine which of the methods of medical pedicure and manicure can be applied at the client
In order to achieve the overall objective the project will
1. EDUCATE pupils on new methods of medicinal pedicure and manicure
3. DEVELOP sector skills alliance for skills need identification
4. GATHER evidence of skills needs on the labor market in the field of pedicure
This project wants to tackle the problem related to the lack of practical education in the sphere of medicinal pedicure.
Curriculum in Schools in Europe do not include treatment of natural biological phenomenon on the feet (phenomena corns, painful thickening of the skin, change of static feet, etc..) As well as the education of students in the prevention of painful changes on the feet.
Acquiring skills of medical manicure provides participants how perform a safe procedure, without any possible infection of epidermis, or permanent damage of the nail bed as opposed to a spa manicure that provides technical application of certain materials on the customer regardless of the benefit of the clients nail.
Adopting skills of medical pedicure provides customers quality resolution and relieve painful changes on the feet, but also in terms of prevention timely identification of pathological changes and sending the client to a medical examination. The adopted theoretical knowledge about prevention of infection in pedicures and manicures will enable students safe work with clients.
This project needs to be addressed internationally in order to improve and bring innovation of VET education in the field of pedicure (and manicure), particularly in the field of medicinal pedicure that is in high demand on the market.
